OGDEN — The Saint Joseph Catholic High School Class of 2011 bid farewell to its 48 classmates at the graduation ceremony held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church May 18. This was the 55th class to graduate from the school.

Memorial Day Commemorative Mass —Monday, May 30 at 9 a.m., Monsignor J. Terrence Fitzgerald, vicar general of the Diocese of Salt Lake City, will commemorate Memorial Day with an outdoor Mass at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 275 U St., Salt Lake City. Boy Scout Troop 202 will conduct a flag ceremony prior to Mass.

SANDY — A lone drummer led a procession of elegant queens and their escorts, angels, and a statue of Our Lady of Manaoag carried on a pedestal and followed by devotees praying the rosary to honor the Blessed Virgin in the Santacruzan celebration held at Saint Thomas More Parish May 15. The Filipino community from throughout the Diocese of Salt Lake City, friends and family then processed into the evening Mass that was followed by a dinner party of traditional Philippine cuisine.
