SANDY — The Blessed Sacrament youth group came home from the National Catholic Youth Conference in Indianapolis, Ind., energized, inspired, ready to lead, and proud of their Catholic faith.
>>>DRAPER — John August Swanson, a California artist whose work is housed in the Vatican Museum’s Collection of Modern Religious Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris, among other venues, was present at Juan Diego Catholic High School’s 11th annual Spiritus Donorum dinner as six of his serigraphs were unveiled as the most recent work to be added to the school’s collection.
>>>SALT LAKE CITY — The Madeleine Choir School students participated in revolutionary science this November. The students were the beneficiaries of a visit from the Doppler on Wheels, which was temporarily provided to the University of Utah by The Center for Severe Weather Research, a nonprofit based in Boulder, Colo. The truck-mounted radar, called DOW, was provided to the Department of Atmospheric Sciences for several weeks. About a half-dozen schools received visits from the rig and Professor Jim Steenburgh, who was interested in getting students excited about atmospheric science.

The Weber State Chamber Choir led the group in Christmas carols. When the lights were turned on, they sang "Silent Night" in English and German, and then everyone was treated to hot cocoa, coffee and cookies.
>>>SANDY — In celebration of 100 years of Girl Scouting in the United States, Blessed Sacrament Girl Scout Troop 2272 answered a challenge to either do 100 hours of service or donate 100 items to a worthy cause. Troop 2272 donated more than 100 gifts to the Discalced Carmelite Nuns of the Carmel of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Monastery in Holladay.
