The Diocesan Sisters’ Council gathered Sept. 24 for Mass at St. John the Baptist Parish, followed by a lunch meeting. Holy Cross Sisters Celine Dounies and Patrice McGee hosted the event. The sisters discussed plans for future gatherings, the upcoming October synod meeting in Rome and Notre Dame’s loss to Ohio State. They also shared information about each of their current ministries in the diocese: Give Me  A Chance in Ogden, the Ladies of Charity, Holy Cross Ministries and Kearns-St. Ann and St. John the Baptist elementary schools. In addition, they sent prayers and greetings to the Carmelite nuns in Holladay for the Feast of St. Theresa of Avila on Oct. 1 and the Feast of St. Theresa the Little Flower on Oct. 15.  Shown from left are Sisters Mary Ann Pajakowski CSC, Novice Diangsbun Marwein, Marie Rachel DC, Milagros Federico DC, Celine Dounies CSC, Patrice McGee CSC, Germaine Sarrazin DC, Veronica Fajardo CSC, Martha Garcia DC, and Novice Sathi Costa. Sister Sathi and Diangsbun are novices of the Sisters of the Holy Cross and are doing a three-month mission experience in Utah.
